Day 17 - Cherry Pie

Cherry Pie – Sarsfield from No Frills

OK....so we had a bit of a problem yesterday, but we've worked it out. So we actually had no pie today, but the kids begged us to go buy one....so the directions for this pie are as follows...

One Car
$2 cash

Get in your car. Drive to No Frills. Go to the bakery department and buy the cheapest cherry pie you can find. Go to the check out and pay the $2. After the short trip home, place in the oven at 375 for 20 minutes. Remove and serve.

You will notice IMMEDIATELY how inferior the crust is, and how EXTREMELY over sugared the filling is. This will help you to appreciate the home made pies that you have been eating for 16 days!

I give this pie a two thumbs up my nose (to quote Wacko Warner).

  1. My apologies to Nancy J. and anyone else who has been following our experiment. We didn't realize that you are so affected by our pie experiences and are sorry to let you down with this inferior store-bought pie. I'll try not to let it happen again. :)
If it makes you feel any better, my family and I didn't like the cherry very much. It only rated an ok.

  2. If i actually rated the pie, it would be a -1000000 stars! The crust was crappy and way to unflavourful And the cherries (To quote myself) tasted like someone peed in a toiled dropped poo in it and then threw up in it added rotten cherries and put everything into a blender, then put spinach in it ant THEN put it in a poorly made pie crust and covered it to hide it's terribleness then cut it up and served it on a plate. NO JOKE! Thats what i thought of this pie. So again my rating for this pie is -1000000 stars.
