Day 22 - Raspberry Pie

Raspberry Pie – Better Homes and Gardens

 5 cups of Raspberries
¾ cup of sugar
3 tablespoons of flour

Mix Ingredients for filling, adding flavouring, if desired. Transfer to a pastry-lined 9-inch pie plate. Cut slits in top crust. Adjust top crust. Seal and flute edge. Sprinkle with sugar, if desired. Cover edge with foil. Bake in a 375 degree oven 25 minutes. Remove foil. Bake for 20-25 minutes more or till the top is golden and fruit is tender.

Notes : This was a real fruity tasting pie! Strong raspberry flavor for sure.....and I like raspberry's.... Probably my favorite all time fruit. Of course the crust was awesome! The crust definitely added to the taste, adding a little more sweetness in general. A little whip cream or vanilla ice cream might have been nice....mmmm

  1. I had written a nice detailed comment but this stupid pc went whacky and it got lost. Now you just get the basics.
Good pie. Explosion of flavor. Strong raspberry. Tart but not too tart.
